Vikram Gupta, Venture Partner of Western Technology Investment.
Mr. Gupta joined WTI in 2010 and is responsible for early through late stage investments in technology and life science companies. In addition, he is an active angel investor and advisor to a number of start-ups in fields ranging from medical devices to security software, including NeuroSave (medical devices aimed at preventing brain injury), Victrio (software for authentication and fraud detection) and Scripted (online marketplace for written content).
Prior to joining WTI, Mr. Gupta spent nine years with JPMorgan's venture capital group, investing in early through mid-stage technology companies. His investments and board affiliations included Aristos Logic (acquired by Adaptec), Catena Networks (acquired by CIENA), Ikanos Communications (IPO), Sierra Logic (acquired by Emulex) and Tacit Networks (acquired by Packeteer). He began his career with Credit Suisse First Boston's Leveraged Finance Group in New York.
Mr. Gupta holds a B.A. with Distinction from The University of California, Berkeley.
