Yuan Chen is an Associate in the investment team at Atomico, based in London. He joined the firm in November 2011, having previously worked in the European M&A team at J.P. Morgan, and UK Consumer, Retail and Healthcare Advisory team at J.P. Morgan Cazenove.
While at J.P. Morgan, Yuan advised clients on a range of transactions including the £2.5bn sale of SSL to Reckitt Benckiser, the dual track exit of Pets at Home by Bridgepoint, restructuring of Baugur Group and several IPOs and rights issues. He also worked closely with CEOs and CFOs of multiple FTSE100 and FTSE250 companies on corporate broking, and pension and remuneration advisory projects. His corporate broking clients included Tesco, InterContinental Hotels, Smith & Nephew and ASOS.
Yuan Chen graduated from New College, University of Oxford, with a Master’s Degree in Engineering, Economics and Management, and speaks fluent Chinese.
