Paul Maeder

Paul Maeder is focused on building the leading companies in cleantech and online education that will help address America's greatest challenges， and venture capital’s greatest opportunities. Co-founder of Highland， Paul has over twenty-six years of experience in venture capital and has served as a director of many public and private companies. He currently serves on the boards of 2tor， Avidyne， BlueTarp Financial， Heartland Robotics， Imprivata， PerkStreet Financial， Predictive Biosciences， StreamBase Systems and Village Ventures.

Paul is the current Chairman of the National Venture Capital Association and is an appointee to the SEC Advisory Committee on Small and Emerging Companies. He has been recognized by the prestigious Forbes Midas List as one of the top venture capitalists in the industry. He is the 2008 recipient of the Mass Technology Leadership Council Commonwealth Award， and is a member of the MIT Energy Innovation Project Advisory Board.
