Johannes Schoeter

Johannes Schoeter is a Founding Partner of China New Enterprise Investment （CNEI）， a China focused growth capital fund. CNEI is a pioneer in successfully operating a foreign invested， onshore registered private equity fund in China. Mr. Schoeter has been making private equity investments in China since 1996. Before forming CNEI， Mr. Schoeter co-founded Victoria Capital Limited， a Hong Kong based private equity investor and financial advisory firm， arranging mezzanine financing for portfolio companies of a number of large private equity funds.

Prior to founding Victoria Capital， Mr. Schoeter spent over twenty years in senior leadership positions with Deutsche Bank in China， Hong Kong， Japan and Germany. As the Chief Representative of Deutsche Bank China during 1983-1987， Mr. Schoeter was a pioneer among foreign bankers and private equity professionals in China， playing a leading role in several landmark business transactions.

Mr. Schoeter is a member of the Executive Committee of the Hong Kong Venture Capital and Private Equity Association （HKVCA） and the Chairman of the HKVCA China Committee.
