Vimal Patel

Vimal Patel holds a BS in Electrical Engineering from NC State University， an MS in Electrical Engineering from the University of Colorado， and an MBA from UCLA’s Anderson School. Prior to joining Sierra in 2004， Vimal spent three years at Alliance Ventures， part of Alliance Semiconductor， as a Senior Associate. Prior to Alliance， Vimal was a management consultant at Diamond Technology Partners and a design engineer at Trimble Navigation. Vimal is now a Principal at Sierra Ventures focused on semiconductor， hardware and systems， and clean tech investments. He serves on the Board of Directors at Element Labs and as a Board Observer at Miox， Novariant and Multigig. He formerly served as a Board Observer at SemEquip （acquired by CRDN）.
