Catherine Shih

Catherine Shih graduated from Brown University with a dual degree in Computer Science and Business Economics （magna cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa） in 2001 and received an MBA from Harvard Business School in 2006. Originally from Hong Kong， Catherine speaks fluent Cantonese. Previously， Catherine spent four years as a senior consultant at Bain & Company in Hong Kong， Boston， New York， and Sydney. The majority of her projects focused on due diligence， mergers and acquisitions， and strategy for private equity firms and their portfolio companies in the U.S. and Asia. Catherine Shih joined HarbourVest’s Hong Kong-based subsidiary in 2007 as a senior associate to concentrate on partnership investments in Asia Pacific and other non-U.S. markets.
