Michael P. M. Spies is responsible for Tishman Speyer's European business and oversees the company's activities in India. Mr. Spies serves on the firm's Executive, Investment, Management and Compensation committees. He chairs the Investment Committee. Before joining Tishman Speyer in 1989, Mr. Spies was executive vice president of the New York City Public Development Corporation (PDC), the primary economic development agent of the City of New York. Mr. Spies is a past trustee of the Urban Land Institute, and currently serves as Vice Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the American School in London. He is also vice-chairman of the Dean's Alumni Leadership Council at Harvard's Kennedy School of Government, and a member of the International Advisory Board for the Real Estate Academic Initiative at Harvard University. Mr. Spies graduated with honors from Princeton University, and from Harvard University with a master's degree in city and regional planning.
