Kenneth Cheong is the Managing Director of Singapore office of Baring Private Equity. Mr. Cheong has been involved in the execution of over 15 investments in the areas of manufacturing, financial services, consumer products and services, software and IT services. His present areas of focus include manufacturing, financial services and consumer products and services. Mr. Cheong also serves as a director on a number of the Fund’s portfolio companies. Previously, Mr. Cheong was a Manager in the Corporate Finance department of BZW Asia (acquired by Credit Suisse First Boston) for three years where he executed M&A, equity, equity-linked and debt transactions in the Region. Prior to that, Mr. Cheong worked as a Credit and Marketing Officer for DBS Bank where he was involved in loan origination, credit analysis and syndications. Mr. Cheong graduated with First Class Honors in Econometrics and Mathematical Economics from the London School of Economics. He was born in Singapore and is fluent in English and Mandarin.
